Islanders Return to Minnesota for Wild Matchup Featuring Shabanov

The New York Islanders are traveling back to Minnesota to face the Winnipeg Wild in a matchup that highlights Max Shabanov's return from injury. The team is dressing its standard lineup of 12 forwards and six defensemen, with Matt Kessell drawing short straw for this occasion. While the Isles previously enjoyed a memorable visit where they defeated their former captain on home ice, this trip features different dynamics as the Wild have been away in ten of their first fourteen games yet remain competitive at nine wins, three losses, and two overtime defeats. Max Shabanov has already produced four goals and five assists for Minnesota, reaching half his output from last season before joining Islanders duties.
