Royer Loses to Shapovalov at ATP Basel 2025, Shapovalov Advances to Quarterfinals
On October 23, 2025, at the ATP 500 tournament in Basel, France's Valentin Royer, ranked 69th in the world, was eliminated in the second round by Canadian player Denis Shapovalov, ranked 23rd.
