Utah Jazz Preseason Shows Josh Green Outside Rotation

500

The Utah Jazz are signaling that guard Josh Green is unlikely to remain in their starting rotation for the upcoming season. During preseason games featuring players like Ace Bailey, Lauri Markkanen, and Svi Mykhailiuk, Green has received sporadic minutes primarily with the second unit rather than key roles.

While not a bad player who joined Utah late via trade, he is facing stiff competition from established wings such as Darryn Peterson, Brice Sensabaugh, and Josh Okogie. His value to the team currently lies in his expiring contract worth nearly $14.7 million, which provides flexibility for future roster moves or potential trades.

The Jazz may use Green's situation to target a replacement for injured center Walker Kessler if they require an upgrade down the line.
