USS Lincoln Returns To San Diego After Record Deployment

The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier officially returned to its home base in San Diego after nearly a year at sea, marking the end of a record-breaking deployment that included two extensions. Families gathered on shore with signs and flowers to welcome crew members who had been away for over 320 days while supporting US military operations against Iran. During this return period, President Donald Trump addressed media reports suggesting he invited attacks on California cities by clarifying his previous remarks about gas prices resulting from the conflict in Iran. He emphasized that temporary fuel cost increases are a small price to pay compared to potential consequences if nuclear weapons were involved.
