Social media posts by Carnegie Mellon University associate professor Uju Anya sparked controversy after a screenshot of her allegedly saying, "Die first, white man," resurfaced online. Following the viral content describing comments made in 2021 regarding Rush Limbaugh and Charlie Kirk, faculty members were doxxed and campus security was increased. The university condemned the posts as hostile and threatening, violating community standards against hateful language. President Farnam Jahanian confirmed that Anya's account has been deactivated and she is on voluntary professional leave through summer 2027 without teaching classes this year. In response to the incident, at least one class was moved online, a conversation group meeting in her department was paused, and three separate statements were sent to the campus community regarding the situation.
