Lions Injury Updates: Kerby Joseph Near Return, Brock Wright and Graham Glasgow Improving

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell provided injury updates on key players ahead of the Thursday game against the Dallas Cowboys. Safety Kerby Joseph, who has been out since Week 6 with a bone bruise and knee wear and tear, is progressing and may return to limited practice this week. Campbell noted Joseph's injury might be long-term, but he is getting better each week and could be closer to playing. Guard Graham Glasgow is also improving after missing last week’s game due to a knee injury, with Campbell indicating he is doing better and may be available for the upcoming game. Conversely, tight end Brock Wright faces a potentially long-term injury with a neck/trachea injury. Scans and second opinions are ongoing, and Wright remains in a holding pattern despite feeling capable of playing. The Lions have been dealing with injuries to multiple players, including the season-ending absence of tight end Sam LaPorta, and have signed free agent Giovanni Ricci to the practice squad to bolster their depth. Campbell emphasized the importance of fundamentals, discipline, and details to improve the team’s performance, especially on defense, which struggled recently against the Packers. The upcoming game against the Cowboys is critical, and Joseph’s potential return could significantly impact the Lions’ chances in the NFC playoff race.
