Fire at Las Vegas Chinatown Restaurant Under Investigation After Large Blaze

A fire broke out early Friday morning at The Halal Guys restaurant in the Chinatown neighborhood of Las Vegas, requiring the efforts of approximately 80 firefighters to extinguish. The blaze started just before 6 a.m. at 3755 Spring Mountain Road inside the Spring Mountain Square shopping center. Firefighters responded quickly, initially attacking the fire from the interior, but when flames extended to the attic and the roof began to collapse, they switched to a defensive strategy. The fire caused significant damage to The Halal Guys and nearby Krung Siam Thai restaurant, which reported damage and a temporary closure. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, with authorities noting that at least one, possibly two, gas lines may have contributed to the difficulty in extinguishing the flames. No injuries have been reported. The incident disrupted local businesses, with some stores experiencing closures and parking issues during a busy holiday period. The fire is part of a series of recent events in Las Vegas, including a neighborhood shooting, police investigations, and other local incidents.
