Wizards of the Coast and Capcom are collaborating to release a Monster Hunter-themed Secret Lair superdrop for Magic: The Gathering, launching on December 1, 2025. The superdrop features four themed drops—'The Hunt,' 'The Hunters,' 'The Monsters,' and 'The Monsters II'—each containing reprints of Magic cards with new artwork inspired by the Monster Hunter franchise. The collection includes 20 cards, with options in non-foil, foil, and exclusive surge foil editions available only in the Amped State Surge Foil Bundle, priced at $240. The superdrop will also include a special foil Sol Ring promo card with select bundles, and all cards will be available in both English and Japanese. Individual cards are priced at $30 for non-foil and $40 for foil, with bundles offering additional value. The four drops will showcase iconic monsters like Nergigante, Rathalos, Fatalis, and Zinogre, reimagined as Magic: The Gathering legendary creatures, along with hunter-themed cards featuring armor and weapons. This collaboration marks Capcom's Monster Hunter franchise's first appearance in Magic: The Gathering's Secret Lair series, emphasizing limited availability and collector's appeal.
