Croatia's FSRU LNG Vessel Returns, Upgrades, and Capacity Expansion

The FSRU vessel LNG Croatia has returned to the LNG terminal in Omišalj on the island of Krk after 55 days, following the installation of a new regasification module and a five-year class renewal. The vessel is now undergoing final testing and inspection in preparation for its commercial operation scheduled for October 26, 2025. This upgrade aims to ensure safe and reliable LNG import operations. Additionally, LNG Hrvatska plans to double its capacity, and the upgraded FSRU is set to start operating on October 26, enhancing Croatia's LNG infrastructure. Meanwhile, Wärtsilä and TMS Cardiff Gas have renewed their lifecycle agreements for the main engines of seven LNG carriers, extending their service agreements by five years, supporting the broader LNG industry in Europe.
