Tesla Launches Standard Model 3 in Europe at Lower Price
Tesla has introduced a new 'Standard' version of the Model 3 in Europe, starting at 36,990 euros in Germany, reflecting a 3,000-euro price reduction. This version, announced a few months after the Model Y Standard, replaces the previous base model with an LFP battery and rear-wheel drive. The Model 3 Standard offers a WLTP range of 534 km, a top speed of 201 km/h, and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds. It features simpler interior options, including fewer speaker systems, a manual rear seat fold, and only three exterior colors—white, black, and gray. The model maintains the panoramic glass roof and is available with optional extras like a trailer hitch and autopilot packages. The price reduction makes the Model 3 more affordable than the Model Y in Europe, which now starts at 39,990 euros. The introduction aligns with Tesla's broader strategy of offering more accessible electric vehicles with streamlined features.
