Booker And Bridges Out As Suns Host Spurs In Preseason Opener

The Phoenix Suns will host their first home game of the 2026-27 preseason against the San Antonio Spurs at the Mortgage Matchup Center on October 10, 2026. Head coach Jordan Ott confirmed that star guard Devin Booker and power forward Miles Bridges are ruled out for this contest due to injury precaution and rest protocols respectively. While Suns center Mark Williams remains listed as out with a torn labrum from last season's roster, the absence of both top scorers significantly alters the expected lineup dynamics. The Spurs also face multiple injuries including Tobias Harris (calf), Jayden Quaintance (knee surgery rehab), and Maliq Brown (back tightness). Despite dropping their first two preseason games against Detroit and Chicago with a 0-2 record, Phoenix aims to find effective rotations as they prepare for the regular season. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 PM Arizona Time.
