Spurs vs OKC: Redemption Quests Clash on Opening Night

The San Antonio Spurs return to action against the Oklahoma City Thunder in a high-stakes opening night matchup, both teams seeking redemption after losing their respective championship series last season. The Spurs will face injuries including Tobias Harris and Jayden Quaintance while testing guard depth behind De'Aaron Fox with Mitch Johnson at coach. Meanwhile, the Thunder must avoid treating this game as a referendum on Victor Wembanyama's dominance or chasing emotional validation from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander rather than focusing on tactical adjustments against San Antonio's length and rim protection.
