Grace Reiter Makes Memorable SNL Debut in Two Sketches
Wisconsin native Grace Reiter made her "Saturday Night Live" debut last weekend as a featured player for Season 52. She appeared in two sketches during the September premiere, including one parodying the reality series "The Debut: Dream Academy." In this sketch, she played Margle Barnaby, who interrupted choreography rehearsal naked while asking to zip up her leotard and pitched lyrics about Newton's Cradle. Reiter also performed alongside NBA player Jalen Brunson in a later segment involving his basketball coach.
Reiter joined the cast ahead of Season 52 after building a large online following through comedy videos on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Her viral 2025 parody film "The Hunger Games (but Better)" earned over 14 million views before her television debut. Before joining SNL, she performed with sketch groups like Stapleview and American High.
Her hometown of Chippewa Falls celebrated the occasion with a free public watch party at Micon Cinemas featuring both her film and the live broadcast.
