Sanjay Gupta, the acclaimed filmmaker known for directing 'Kaante' and other crime thrillers, has passed away at age 57. He died on October 30 after sustaining a head injury while falling in his kitchen earlier that night. Fellow directors Kamaal R Khan and Ashoke Pandit confirmed the news on social media X, describing him as an ace talent who was full of life.

Gupta's career began with 'Aatish: Feel the Fire' in 1994, establishing a reputation for stylized action sequences and Mumbai underworld narratives.
