Ryan Phillippe Recalls Wild Oscars Night With Ex Reese Witherspoon

Actor Ryan Phillippe described his time with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon at the 2006 Academy Awards as an unforgettable experience. Both stars won major awards that night: Witherspoon took home Best Actress for Walk The Line, while Phillippe's film Crash was named Best Picture moments later.

Phillippe recounted how he approached stage presenter Morgan Freeman to introduce himself after his wife gave her interview backstage. He noted the fun atmosphere continued into early morning with an extended party at their hotel. Despite this celebratory evening, their seven-year marriage ended shortly afterward when Witherspoon filed for divorce in November 2006.

The couple has since co-parented three children together and reunited recently to celebrate Deacon's graduation from New York University.
