Vallecas Stadium Safe: Rayo Cleared to Host Espanyol

Rayo Vallecano has been officially cleared by Madrid's regional government to return to its home ground at the Vallecas stadium following urgent safety repairs. In July, an audit flagged serious deficiencies in hygiene and sanitation conditions that led to a suspension of the club's lease. A subsequent review confirmed the venue is now operational for ordinary use, allowing Rayo to host their upcoming La Liga match against Espanyol on Tuesday 15th September at Leganes's Butarque stadium instead.
