Strong Winds Cause Massive Power Outage in Seattle Area

Over 5,000 customers lost power on Saturday evening due to falling tree limbs from gusts reaching 50 mph. The outage primarily affected the west side of Silverdale near Bangor Naval Base and north Bainbridge Island. Puget Sound Energy expects some restoration later Saturday night while a wind advisory remains in effect through Sunday morning.
