Porsha Williams Performs Emergency Partial Hysterectomy

"RHOA" star Porsha Williams revealed she underwent an emergency partial hysterectomy earlier this year, a procedure her doctor insisted was necessary after discovering over 15 large fibroids. During the surgery in May, surgeons found 21 total fibroids, with one measuring as large as a cantaloupe alongside endometriosis and other uterine issues. Williams stated that while she initially sought to avoid removing her uterus to preserve hormone balance for perimenopause at age 45, medical necessity led to the removal of part of it. Although she expressed grief over losing fertility options like egg freezing or surrogacy, she emphasized that the surgery has significantly improved her quality of life by eliminating chronic pain and migraines caused by the fibroids.
