Pelicans Fall Behind Miami Heat in Preseason Opener

On October 8, 2026, the New Orleans Pelicans faced a tough challenge against the Miami Heat at Kaseya Center. The game ended with Miami scoring 128 points to New Orleans' 118. Key players for New Orleans included Zion Williamson and Trey Murphy III in their starting lineup positions.

Miami's roster featured megastar Giannis Antetokounmpo, marking his first preseason appearance at home. Despite the Heat not being a deep team due to talent concentration among starters, they managed to secure victory against the Pelicans' bench-heavy performance.
