The Phoenix Suns have agreed to a three-year contract extension with center Oso Ighodaro worth $29 million. The deal, fully guaranteed and announced on October 18-19, includes the team picking up its option for the 2027–28 season, meaning the agreement runs through the 2030–31 period. According to reports from ESPN's Shams Charania and NBA.com transaction logs, Ighodaro will earn just under $10 million annually on average.

Ighodaro expressed gratitude for his hometown team supporting him during a Tuesday press conference following the announcement. The 24-year-old Mesa native played all 82 games last season averaging 6.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 22 minutes per game while shooting 65.3% from the field. He also started four playoff games last year.

With center Mark Williams expected to miss significant time due to a torn labrum, Ighodaro is positioned to compete for more playing time alongside second-year player Khaman Maluach.
