The University of North Carolina Athletics announced that the Tar Heels welcome ranked third Notre Dame to Kenan Stadium this weekend for a noon tilt. This marks Notre Dame's 10th visit to Chapel Hill and their first since 2022, with coverage airing live on ESPN featuring Wes Durham as play-by-play announcer alongside analyst Dusty Dvoracek and sideline reporter Taylor McGregor. Prior to the matchup against Clemson where UNC fell short in a comeback loss, running back Benjamin Hall delivered a career performance by rushing for 130 yards on 18 attempts while catching a touchdown pass. The Tar Heels currently lead the nation with only 95 penalty yards yielded through three games and rank fourth nationally at 62.5 percent scoring efficiency inside their red zone after opponents have scored just two touchdowns there this season. On the defensive side, UNC has recorded ten sacks averaging 3.33 per game which places them ninth in the country and second within the ACC conference led by sophomore Xavier Lewis who tops the nation with 2.0 sacks per game along with a team-leading 8.5 tackles for loss.
