NC State Fair Adds Over 80 New Foods for Oct Event

Officials announced more than 80 new food items will debut at the North Carolina State Fair in October 2026, including Banana Pudding Flights and Birria Egg Rolls. The event features a $60 million renovation of fairgrounds and its largest Ferris wheel yet to accommodate up to one million visitors from Oct. 15–25. While officials recommend visiting on weekdays like Monday through Wednesday to avoid large crowds, state inspectors are currently checking rides for safety following past incidents.
