Yankees Face Rays In ALDS Bracket After Sweeping Red Sox

The New York Yankees have secured their place in the American League Division Series (ALDS) with a sweep of the Boston Red Sox, advancing to face the Tampa Bay Rays. The matchup is set for a best-of-five series where both teams are evenly matched at -110 odds following a regular-season tiebreaker won 7-6 by Tampa Bay. While the Rays hold the best record in the American League and were favorites on paper due to their small-ball approach, New York possesses an ideal pitching rotation featuring Gerrit Cole, Carlos Rodon, Cam Schultzer, and Max Fried. The Yankees' power lineup struggled with only one player hitting over 20 home runs compared to Tampa Bay's depth of five players exceeding that mark. Despite the Rays finishing second-to-last in major league home run totals among playoff qualifiers, they remain a formidable opponent capable of manufacturing runs against New York's strikeout-prone pitching staff.
