Grizzlies confirm Isaiah Stewart out minimum two weeks
The Memphis Grizzlies announced that center Isaiah Stewart will miss at least two weeks due to a moderate left ankle sprain sustained during the preseason opener against the Atlanta Hawks. During Monday's game, Stewart fell while defending a rim shot and played only two minutes before leaving in the first quarter. He was diagnosed with an injury requiring re-evaluation on October 17, which places him unavailable for the regular-season opening against Utah Jazz on October 21. Although Stewart is expected to return shortly after that date if fully recovered, his absence will shift center responsibilities primarily to Zach Edey and Quinten Post, while also utilizing forwards Cam Boozer and Taylor Hendricks alongside rookie Carson Cooper.
