USDA Recalls Over 167K Pounds of Meat for False Labels

The United States Department of Agriculture has issued a nationwide Class I recall involving approximately 167,039 pounds of raw beef, pork, and goat products distributed under the A&D Foods label. The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service discovered that these items were produced before September 22 without proper federal inspection but bore false establishment numbers marked "EST. 1363." Star Meat Delivery Inc., a company based in Lucama, North Carolina, manufactured the vacuum-sealed goods packed into cardboard boxes for shipment to Georgia distributors and subsequent retail locations across the country. Federal officials stated that food produced without inspection may contain undeclared allergens or harmful bacteria posing risks to consumer health and safety. There have been no reported injuries or illnesses linked to this recall at this time.
