Fletcher Surprises Mom With New Cadillac Escalade

Mark Fletcher Jr., the senior running back for the University of Miami Hurricanes, used his Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) earnings to purchase a new luxury SUV as a surprise gift for his mother. The moment was captured in a video produced by Fetching Fletchers, a series created under Michael Irvin's production company that aired ahead of Miami's upcoming game against North Carolina.

Linda Fletcher has long been known for driving rather than flying to attend her son's games at home and away venues. During the 2025 College Football Playoff run, she traveled approximately 18,000 miles in rental cars before receiving a custom orange-and-green RV from Irvin and Fun Town RV earlier this year.

Fletcher has been instrumental for Miami over his last two seasons, recording 216 carries for 1,192 yards and 12 touchdowns during the 2025 campaign. He returned to school in 2026 rather than entering the NFL draft and currently holds the record for most rushing yards in a single playoff run.

In his video message, Fletcher explained that he wanted to show appreciation for Linda's hard work supporting him since childhood. "Today, we've got a very special occasion," he stated. "We're doing something special for Mama Fletcher... I was able to give her this car today." His mother responded with gratitude in the clip, saying she feels wonderful knowing it can accommodate her family and belongings.

Fletcher continues as an anchor of Miami's offense alongside true freshman Javian Mallory through six games this season.
