Commanders Confirm Marcus Mariota Starts vs. Colts as Jayden Daniels Out

Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn confirmed on Friday that injured quarterback Jayden Daniels will not play in Week 4's game against the Indianapolis Colts in London, with backup Marcus Mariota set to start instead. Daniels dislocated his left elbow during a loss to the Dallas Cowboys earlier this season and has been managing it with an off-season brace rather than surgery. While medical consultations suggest he could return within three weeks or sooner, the team declined to place him on injured reserve to avoid missing four games but emphasized they will not play him before he is fully ready.
