Dodgers Win Historic 18-Inning World Series Game in 2018

On October 26, 2018, the Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers began what became the longest game in Major League Baseball history. The marathon spanned seven hours and twenty minutes across two days, concluding with a walk-off home run by Max Muncy in the bottom of the eighteenth inning to secure Game 3 for the Dodgers. This victory marked only the second time a Dodger has won a World Series game via a walk-off homer, following Kirk Gibson's feat against the St. Louis Cardinals in 1988.
