Lazio Crushes Sassuolo 6-2 at Mapei Stadium

The Lazio defeated the Sassuolo 6–2 on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, in an Italian Serie A match held at the MAPEI Stadium. The visiting white-blue team secured their fifth consecutive victory under manager Gattuso to move into sole first place ahead of Inter Milan's upcoming game against Venezia. Sassuolo coach Aquilani aimed for a comeback after two straight losses and four days without wins, but his side could not overcome Lazio's offensive attack.

Goals were scored by K. Thorstvedt (7'), S. Esposito (43'), G. Isaksen (13', 50' unassisted), R. Floriani Mussolini (16'), M. Zaccagni (28', 45+1'), and T. Noslin (65'). The match saw significant substitutions, including a triple change for Lazio involving Lazzari, Cancellieri, and Pedraza replacing Floriani, Isaksen, and Nuno Tavares.

Norwegian defender K. Thorstvedt was sent off in the 71st minute after committing a foul on Zaccagni with his foot while he had already received an amber card earlier for receiving a yellow card from Taylor.
