Lakers Explore Trade for Jericho Sims Amid Roster Crunch

The Los Angeles Lakers are engaged in exploratory trade discussions with the Milwaukee Bucks to address their roster crunch and acquire frontcourt help. Sources report a potential deal would send former first-round pick Dalton Knecht, along with second-round draft capital, to Milwaukee in exchange for Jericho Sims.

However, pessimism surrounds the likelihood of such a transaction being completed. Lakers center room currently features Walker Kessler, Kevon Looney, and Sandro Mamukelashvili. While Kessler is an established starter, coaches seek additional depth beyond these three players to finalize their 15-man roster.

Dalton Knecht remains on the bubble despite a strong rookie season, with head coach JJ Redick noting that team needs have shifted due to added wings and changing fits.
