Kings vs Avalanche: Kuemper Starts, Laviolette Debuting

The Los Angeles Kings will face the Colorado Avalanche in their season opener on Wednesday at Ball Arena. Darcy Kuemper is projected to start for LA after being replaced by him earlier today, while head coach Dave Lowry makes his debut as the team's manager against Denver. The matchup follows a four-game playoff sweep of the Kings last year and features two 0-0 records heading into the 2026-27 regular season.
