A Paris court has awarded Kim Kardashian €1 ($1.15) in compensation following her armed robbery during Fashion Week on October 2, 2016. The celebrity had requested this specific amount from the tribunal after eight individuals were found guilty of their roles in stealing over $6 million worth of jewelry while she was staying at the Hôtel de Pourtalès. While a former receptionist received €109,516 and his lawyer praised the decision as a victory for him, Kardashian's stylist Simone Bretter also obtained her requested sum. The court granted an additional €50,000 to the hotel itself.
