Former Dodgers DeLuca, Cleavinger Active For Brewers-Rays World Series

500

The 2026 World Series features three former Los Angeles Dodgers active for competitors: Jonny DeLuca and Garrett Cleavinger with the Tampa Bay Rays, and Dustin May with the Milwaukee Brewers. DeLuca has started all nine postseason games in center field so far for the Rays, recording six hits including a double across 30 at-bats while adding two stolen bases after his third season there was statistically his best year. The left-handed pitcher Cleavinger returned to active status following an injury that kept him off the roster during September and October of this regular season; he previously pitched for Los Angeles in parts of the 2021-22 seasons before being traded to Tampa Bay at the deadline. Dustin May, a Dodgers draft pick from 2016 who helped win their championship in 2020 but missed significant time due to Tommy John surgery and an esophageal tear, joined Milwaukee after signing with St. Louis earlier this year.
