Jihyo Leaves JYP After 21 Years; Launches Independent Label EMITHAUS

TwICE leader Park Ji-hyo announced on October 21 that she is leaving JYP Entertainment after a career spanning 21 years, becoming the group's first member to depart. In a handwritten letter posted online, Jihyo stated her departure allows her to freely explore undiscovered aspects of herself through her new independent agency, EMITHAUS. The label plans to begin with solo activities and aims to recruit diverse artists while expanding beyond music into broader content creation. Despite the separation from her longtime company, Jihyo emphasized that TWICE remains an irreplaceable part of her life and expressed gratitude for the support she received during her time at JYP.
