Devils Hire Jessica Campbell And Bryan McCabe For Development

The New Jersey Devils have hired two high-profile executives to lead their player development operations. Sunny Mehta announced on Wednesday the appointment of Jessica Campbell as manager of player development and Bryan McCabe as vice president of prospect personnel and assistant general manager.

Campbell, who previously served as an assistant coach with the Seattle Kraken for two seasons before stepping down in April 2024, will oversee New Jersey's prospects. She was hired by the NHL in July 2022 as its first full-time female assistant coach. Prior to her time in the league, she coached in the AHL and Germany.

McCabe joins after spending 15 years in the NHL and 14 seasons in player development roles with the Florida Panthers. He served as director of player personnel for Tampa Bay (noted in source text) before helping lead them to consecutive Stanley Cup titles in 2023 and 2024.

McCabe played over 1,135 career games across six franchises including the New York Islanders, Vancouver Canucks, Chicago Blackhawks, Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, and Panthers. He recorded 528 points as a left-shot blue-liner.

Both executives will manage prospect development for the Devils organization while serving as resources for their AHL affiliate in Utica.
