No. 10 Iowa Women's Basketball Hosts Maryville In Exhibition

The No. 10 Iowa women's basketball team hosted Division II opponent Maryville in an exhibition game at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Thursday, October 29. Head coach Jan Jensen described the matchup as a necessary test for her roster before opening the regular season against Towson later that month. The Hawkeyes played their first preseason contest with fans following two closed scrimmages and featured standout returnees Chit-Chat Wright and Ava Heiden alongside new signings including five-star forward McKenna Woliczko. During the first quarter, Iowa struggled initially but mounted a 20-point run to take an early lead over Maryville's nine points.
