5K

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has classified a voluntary recall of six Intercon Chemical Co. hand soaps as a Class II recall, indicating potential for temporary or medically reversible health effects from bacterial contamination. The FDA issued this classification on September 11, upgrading the June 29 initiated recall which involves bacteria such as Pseudomonas and Serratia strains linked to healthcare-associated infections. California is among fifteen states receiving affected products totaling over 2,600 cases distributed across twenty companies including retailers and wholesalers.
