Fans Rush To Watch All Five Hunger Games Movies Before Netflix Removal

100

Netflix subscribers have a final three-day window to view the complete five-film "Hunger Games" franchise before its removal from streaming on October 14, 2026. The short-term licensing agreement, which began in July 2026, will conclude with the departure of all titles including the prequel "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes." This sudden unavailability contrasts with typical long-running franchise deals.

"The Hunger Games" series follows Katniss Everdeen as she becomes a symbol for Panem's disenfranchised people through an annual televised fight to death. The original trilogy featured Jennifer Lawrence, while the fourth installment was split into two parts: "Mockingjay Part 1" and "Mockingjay Part 2." A recent fifth movie depicts events during the tenth Hunger Games.

The removal is part of a broader weekly rotation where numerous titles are leaving Netflix's library. Among other departing films is "The End of the Tour," which dramatizes an interview between journalist David Lipsky and novelist David Foster Wallace.
