Gladiator II Debuts on Netflix as Top Streamed Film

Ridley Scott's Gladiator II arrived on Netflix on October 21 after a two-year theatrical run. The 148-minute sequel immediately became the platform's number one movie in the United States, displacing Ben Affleck's Animals from the top spot within just two days of release. While critics note that it is inferior to the original Best Picture winner and holds lower review scores, its massive scale featuring Denzel Washington as Macrinus has fueled high viewer engagement.
