Over 4,800 users worldwide are reporting widespread outages with Google's Gemini AI tool. The outage has caused significant disruptions including missing chat history and map failures across multiple countries such as the US, Japan, Belgium, and New Zealand. A primary error code cited by affected users is 1155, which displays the message 'Can I try something else for you.' Analysis of recent complaints indicates that AI generation failures represent approximately 69% of all reported issues, while website loading problems account for another significant portion. Google has not yet officially acknowledged the outage on its status page despite the surge in reports from Downdetector and other user platforms.
