Alabama State Homecoming Game Rescheduled to Friday

The Alabama State University homecoming football game against Florida A&M has been rescheduled for Friday, October 9, 2026, at 11:05 a.m., with all related activities shifted due to safety concerns and severe weather. The broadcast will air on SWAC TV featuring Jared Oliver and Vaughn Wilson instead of HBCU GO TV. In response to the game's rescheduling and impending storm conditions, Montgomery Public Schools closed their campuses for Friday as employees requested time off; officials cited a high volume of leave requests and staffing coverage evaluations in making this decision. No instruction will be provided remotely or in person until October 13.
