Finneas joins others in Ed Sheeran tour exit over Macklemore
Rapper Macklemore was removed from Ed Sheeran's upcoming shows at Gillette Stadium after New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft threatened to cancel the event due to concerns about hate speech and antisemitic rhetoric. Following this decision, Finneas and other supporting acts have withdrawn from the tour in protest of Macklemore being dropped over his pro-Palestine remarks.
Finneas announced on Instagram that he stands with Palestine and its people, stating that artists should not be silenced when speaking up for the oppressed. He noted that Sheeran has previously supported relief efforts for Palestinians through a benefit concert called "Together for Palestine." Aaron Rowe, another opener for the tour, also quit shortly after Finneas, citing his inability to stand by while billionaires silence voices criticizing what he calls Israeli genocide and the murder of children.
