Ireland's Record €250M EuroMillions Jackpot Win in Cork
A single ticket holder from Ireland has won the largest EuroMillions jackpot ever, totaling €250 million, in a record-breaking draw. The winning numbers were 13, 22, 23, 44, and 49, with lucky stars 3 and 5. The ticket was sold in Cork, and the winner has already made contact with the lottery authorities. The Irish National Lottery confirmed the win, describing it as the biggest ever EuroMillions jackpot in Ireland's history. Over 92,000 Irish players won prizes in the draw, including a €500,000 EuroMillions Plus prize in Wicklow. The jackpot was at its cap of €250 million, the maximum allowed, after several rollovers. Irish lottery officials urged the winner to stay calm, seek legal and financial advice, and contact the lottery to claim the prize. The previous Irish record was €175.4 million, won by a family syndicate in 2019, with the first Irish EuroMillions winner being Dolores McNamara in 2005. Meanwhile, in the UK, a ticket holder won approximately £213.65 million, the third-largest EuroMillions jackpot ever won in Britain.
