HP Names Emma Walmsley New CEO After Monthlong Search

HP Inc. has officially appointed former GSK executive Emma Walmsley as its new permanent chief executive officer, concluding a month-long search for leadership following the departure of Enrique Lores in February. The appointment was announced on Wednesday with an effective date set for January 4th. Walmsley succeeds Bruce Broussard, who served as interim CEO during the transition period; Broussard is expected to become chair of the board in January while continuing his role at PayPal Holdings Inc.
