Elijah Burress Scores 30-Yard TD for Notre Dame Over Stanford
Notre Dame wide receiver Elijah Burress scored a game-changing touchdown against Stanford, continuing his strong performance as the son of former NFL star Plaxico Burress. In Saturday's match at Notre Dame Stadium, the second-year player caught a 30-yard pass from quarterback CJ Carr to make it 44-0 with four minutes and thirty-seven seconds remaining in the third quarter. This victory marks another dominant win for No. 3 Notre Dame against Stanford; last year they defeated the Cardinal by a score of 49-20 at Palo Alto, where Burress recorded three catches for 21 yards. Earlier this season during Week 2, he also registered three receptions on five targets in a win over Rice. The younger Burress attended DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne, New Jersey, alongside fellow Notre Dame signee Nolan James Jr., while his sister Giovanna is currently recruited as a basketball player for the Class of 2028.
