Authorities in North Carolina are conducting an extensive multi-agency search for Dominic Liam Connelly, a 24-year-old suspect wanted for multiple serious crimes including murder, arson, and assault on law enforcement officers. Connelly is accused of killing his grandmother, Patricia Lopedote, whose body was found in her burned-down home, and is also wanted for her murder, first-degree arson, and vehicle theft. Recently, Connelly allegedly assaulted a deputy with a knife during an incident at a Bojangles restaurant in Vanceboro, where he stabbed the officer in the bathroom before fleeing the scene. The sheriff's office reports that Connelly is considered dangerous and remains at large, with law enforcement deploying helicopters, drones, K9 units, and dozens of officers to find him.
