Colorado Seeks Revenge Against New Jersey Devils

The Colorado Avalanche are preparing to avenge their recent fourth-third loss against the Nashville Predators at home, while also seeking retribution for an earlier road defeat by the New Jersey Devils. The Devils recently acquired goaltender Connor Hellebuyck from the Winnipeg Jets and currently hold an eight-win record with four losses, whereas Colorado sits on six wins in five games following a period of internal uncertainty. This matchup takes place at Ball Arena during a light portion of the Avalanche's schedule, which includes only one game this week before two more on Friday and Sunday. With Nic Roy confirmed as available for the lineup but Zach L'Heureux still recovering, Mackenzie Blackwood is expected to start in net alongside Scott Wedgewood who played against Nashville. Colorado faces a back-to-back scenario with consecutive second-half games while New Jersey plays at MSGSN starting at 9:00 PM EDT.
