Clippers Name Darius Garland Starter vs. Kings

The Los Angeles Clippers have announced their starting lineup for Wednesday's 2026-27 season opener against the Sacramento Kings at the Intuit Dome, featuring point guard Darius Garland as the team's featured player following Kawhi Leonard's departure to Toronto. The five-man squad includes Kris Dunn, Derrick Jones Jr., Rui Hachimura, and Isaiah Jackson in addition to Garland. Although Brandon Ingram was expected to play a major role after his trade from Minnesota, he is currently recovering from right heel surgery and has a partially torn Achilles tendon. While Gunn started 68 of 82 games last season, Dunn sits out the preseason finale but should return for this regular-season game according to reports.
