Connecticut Voters Decide Five House Races

Voters in Connecticut will determine all five of their U.S. congressional delegations on Election Day as polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. The state's delegation has remained entirely Democratic since 2009, but incumbents face challenges including former Mayor Luke Bronin losing the primary against Amy Chai in District 1, Jahana Hayes facing Chris Shea in District 5, Joe Courtney running for reelection in District 2, Rosa DeLauro seeking a nineteenth term in District 3, and Jim Himes challenging Michael Goldstein in District 4. As Connecticut voters cast their ballots, they join millions nationwide to decide which party will control the U.S. House of Representatives for the next two years.
