Two Teens Arrested In Alleged California School Shooting Plot
Corona police arrested two fifteen-year-old girls for allegedly discussing how to carry out a school shooting online over several months, authorities announced Tuesday.
The investigation began on October 6 when the FBI notified local officers about social media communications suggesting a threat against Corona High School in Riverside County. Police searched residences and electronic devices under multiple warrants before identifying and arresting both suspects: one student from Corona High School and another from nearby Norco High School.
According to police, the girls had researched school shootings and discussed methods for obtaining weapons, though no firearms were recovered during searches. Both remain in custody on charges of conspiracy to commit murder while Riverside County District Attorney's Office reviews the case.
